Family Vacation Part 3

For our second week on the Marco Nana and TT were scheduled to arrive! The day that Nana arrived we ATTEMPTED a spring training baseball game. Mommy was excited because it was her chance to see the New York Yankees. As we know Landon does not do well at the United Center for Hawks games, well this fear has become ANY sporting event. Landon had a severe meltdown and would not attempt to enter the baseball stadium. Ben had to take him back to the car and leave. Quinn, Nana, and I stayed for a few innings before we left. Ben took Landon back to the Island while Nana, Quinn and I waited in the area for TT to arrive.

Our first full day with Nana and TT was spent on the beach having a little fun in the sun. Unfortunately, our family received some very devastating news of a sudden death in our family and we needed to return home quicker than we anticipated. We did our best to enjoy the rest of our vacation with Nana and TT before we left on Wednesday.

Ben rented a pontoon boat for all of us to enjoy on Sunday.  This was an experience for both Landon and Quinn that required a great deal of patience, and resources. Landon and Quinn needed to wear their life jackets the entire boat ride and this was not a favorite thing for either of them. Landon had a meltdown getting on the boat and getting his life vest on. We needed to hold him down to properly attach and snap it before we could move the boat. Quinn was not so happy about being stuck in her life jacket either. Thankfully we had plenty of hands to help, and Nana was able to calm Landon down while I took care of Quinn.

Landon and Quinn did great on the rest of the boat ride; we enjoyed docking the boat for a bit and walking around on a little beach. Ben did a great job being our captain and driving the boat.
We were able to enjoy a few more days of beach, pool; sunshine, warmth, and time with NANA before we packed up and headed home. Our trip home was a little more eventful. Landon had a few more meltdowns, security got our car seat stuck in the scanner machine, and Quinn did not nap on the airplane. Luckily Nana upgraded our seats to Economy plus so we had some extra room and were the first row right behind First Class. Landon slept the entire way home and Popo was at the airport to pick us up.
Overall we had a fun, eventful, family vacation. The house we rented was awesome and we would definitely go back!! Thanks again to Nana and Popo for renting the house and for this great vacation!
