Let's Go Skating!

He is such a huge hockey fan I thought teaching him to skate would be a great idea. We attempted an open skate at the local hockey rink on a Sunday afternoon. It did not go as planned (not surprised)! He wanted to go into the store and take a hockey stick more than anything. He did allow Ben to put on his ice skates but that was the end of the experience. He had a meltdown when Ben attempted to take him on the ice. So after a unsuccessful attempt we decided to get him a pair of practice rollerblades. He was SO excited to put his skates on and go skating. This was a step in the direction we were hoping for a few days back! We are hoping to take him back to a different area and attempt an open skate again!
