17 Months

Sleeping Beauty Quinn

09/19/2013...of course came and went so fast I forgot to post her monthly update.  This is a picture from this week.  Quinn unfortunately got strep throat and is having a rough time with being sick.  She is sensitive to pain and needs a lot of attention and cuddles!  I did stay home with her on Wednesday to get her looked at and to cuddle, cuddle, and cuddle.
Quinn was supposed to have her monthly weigh in with her nutritionist last Friday but that was unfortunately canceled.  So I will go ahead and make my "best guesses" as to her height and weight.
Weight:  20lbs (or at least the scale at home measured her that way last Friday.)  We have waited a long time for this little girl to hit 20lbs!!

Height:  My guess is 31 1/2 inches but it is extremely difficult to attempt measuring her because she is constantly on the go.

Eating:  She has really tried a variety of new foods: lunchmeat, different crackers, peanut butter, various dinner meats, pizza crust (no cheese please!) and a splash of juice in her sippy cup.  Unfortunately her illness this week has limited her eating but she is continuing to drink her "liquid gold" so that should keep her weight up and consistent.

Sleep:  You were sleeping 11-12 hours straight at night still with one big nap but this week I will not even comment on the lack of sleep mama and dada have gotten.  We do hope you feel better soon Quinn!!

New Things:  You really enjoy playing and keeping busy.  You and your big brother love to be outside and you love to follow him around.  He is learning really quick that you are interested in everything he does and he is also learning NOT to push you out of his way because you come RIGHT back for more!!   In the next few weeks we will start the evaluation process to check for signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder.  You will have a 3 hour evaluation in a few weeks and from that they will let us know if they see characteristics of Autism.  If they think you are showing signs you will be FULLY evaluated in depth when you are 2.  As always I am your mother and I worry.  So we will take each day as it comes, we will get you all the help and therapy that you need, and regardless of the diagnosis we love you Quinn.  You are just another important piece to our family puzzle!
