Here Come the Hawks!

We are so lucky that my parents are Season Ticket holders for the Chicago Blackhawks!  Landon and I get the chance to attend many home games as well as some of the activities that are just for season ticket holders.  In December Landon had the opportunity to go to the United Center and tour the Blackhawks locker-room.  This is also the day that season ticket holders get the opportunity to skate on the Hawks ice.  There were some technical difficulties with the registration process and Landon was unable to skate this year.  Luckily the kid had no idea that he could not do this so we did not encounter and meltdowns from having to tell him no. 
Landon enjoyed the Locker-room tour and even smiled for a few photo opportunities with his dada!

A few days after our trip to the UC Landon was ready to "play" hockey at home.  He asked for his skates, helmet, and stick!  Love this kid and love his dedication to the Chicago Blackhawks!!

 

 

 

ON A Very COLD, COLD Day in Chicago we attend the Season Ticket Holders Winter Party at Navy Pier!  This is always one of my favorites!  It is a chance to meet some of the Hawks in person!  I think I am more excited about this then my kids.  This year Landon was ALL about the Winter Wonder Fest activities then meeting the Hawks.  We attempted to meet Sheldon Brookbank and told Landon it was a Hawks player.  Landon of course told us "NO!"  Well in his defense the boys were not suited up, not on the ice, and not at the UC.  They were not the "Hawks" that Landon knows.  So we did not force him to wait in line and meet players.  He enjoyed his time playing with his dada on all the jumpy slides and of course ice skating!!

Popo would wait in line for us and then when he got close Quinn and I would trade places and meet the players!  NOW Quinn is a different story!!  She was in awe of the handsome young men she met.  Most of the time she would just stare at them with her "dreamy eyes!"  BOY oh BOY is her dada in trouble in the future!!!  We all had a great time and enjoyed ourselves!!
