Back to School and the Germs That Come With.

Landon has been back to school now just about 4 weeks.  Within the past 4 weeks our little guy has been out of school for almost a total of two weeks due to illness.  His first illness came not long after starting school.  He contracted a nasty gastro bug that totally wiped him out and had him admitted back into Lurie Children's for much needed rest and IV fluids.  We were able to get him healthy and back on track before he was out again with breathing concerns.  Landon's asthma had taken a quick turn for the worse and we were almost sent back to the hospital but our allergist was able to get his breathing under control with LOTS of medicine.   Landon is back at school this week and we are hoping for his 1st official FULL week at school!!  Fingers crossed for sure!

Today we take Landon back to the allergist for a follow-up and MORE allergy skin testing.  We are trying to find what triggers Landon's asthma and allergies to react so quickly and sometimes take a turn for the worst.  As of now we know that Landon is highly allergic to peanuts and cat's!
